Sew Thankful Sunday

I’m starting a new feature on my blog and it’s called…..

Every day is a great day to say “Thank you”, but it’s Novemeber (!!) and it’s especially appropriate.  So, on Sundays I’m going to showcase a few blogs that I appreciate and perhaps someone’s tutorial that I think you might like, maybe even the simple things of life.

It’s kind of like paying it forward.  I love that notion – “How can I create a little happiness for someone else?” instead of “What’s in it for me?”

Today I’m sew thankful for the Sew Seasonal Blog Hop put on by Quiet Play and Blossom Heart Quilts. Kristy and Alyce have come up with a total of 25 Christmas block patterns for you.  There are 23 other bloggers joining in to show other ways of using these blocks, such as table runners, ornaments, etc.  You can find the full schedule by clicking on the image below:

Today, I’m also thankful for this website and blog:

Bloomerie is a wonderful online resource for modern sewing and quilt patterns as well as quilting fabrics.  You should check out their sale section and their “Bloomerie Bundles” (one of which might have just landed in my shopping cart!).  They also have a blog and recently they featured several fall projects on their Almost Wordless Wednesday post.  There are some beautiful fall tutorials highlighted and one of those projects was a fall table runner from yours truly!  Thank you Bloomerie!

And finally, I’m sew thankful for all of you who follow along with me on this quilting and crafting journey.  It’s a beautiful thing and I appreciate you all!

Have a lovely Sunday!

~Julie

  1. I am thankful for you! I have learned a few tricks. I wish you had an evening class on a Thursday or Friday. Even a Sat would be so great. I was so excited to see your up-coming class just to realize I cannot attend due to work 🙁 But, gratefully, I can follow your blog and that is all good! Have a great week –

  2. Love reading your blog and following you adventures in quilting. I am a beginner and have taken two of your classes and hope to take more. Your posts keep me inspired to continue on even though I struggle sometimes.
