W.i.P. – Baby Quilt & More

W.i.P. {meaning} work in progress

The baby quilt that I started last week is just waiting for the binding.  (You can find more details at my previous post here.)  I love how it turned out!

I love the fabrics and the quilting, too.

Most of all, I love how the Divided Basket Pattern by Noodlehead turned out.  It went together really fast once everything was cut out.

It’s just waiting for some diapers and a few burp cloths (made by me) to complete the ensemble.

I played with my March block for the Sister’s 10 Modern BOM.  This month’s block was made up of half-square triangles (hst’s) and I had fun arranging and re-arranging them.  You can make so many different designs with hst’s!

And this is how the pattern has it arranged.

I have been working on a project with Shannon Fabrics, the maker of Cuddle fabric (aka minkee).  I can only give you a sneak peak for now:

When it’s done, I will share some tips for working with Cuddle and a very cute and easy project for the little one(s) in your life.

I received my copy of Sherri McConnell’s new book, A Quilting Life.  It’s full of beautiful quilts that I would love to make and have around my home.

I really need a table runner for Christmas, and this one is so dang cute:

And here are a few more items to add to my wish list:

I just sigh every time I turn the page!

I hope you all have a great week!

  1. Ooooh…so much to love in this post! That baby is so lucky, with a beautiful quilt to snuggle in. Your divided basket is just the best! I love the binding on the pocket – perfect detail. On and on…the blocks are all great, no matter how you arrange them – must be because of the print choices being just right!

  2. Oh the bag turned out so pretty! Bet it did involve a lot of cutting! So many little pieces. But wow! Absolutely worth it and I absolutely must have two or three of these for project storage.

I love, love, love the group of fabrics used in the March Block and that Christmas Star runner!! Are you making it???? So tempting.

  3. I am looking forward to your tips on Minkee. I have been afraid of using it. I had a bad experience once, but love the feel and look of it.

    Your baby quilt is beautiful
