Sew Thankful Sunday: April

{I am frequently visiting other blogs and I’m always amazed at the talent and passion that I see along the way.  Since I love sharing these new “finds” with you, I created Sew Thankful Sunday.  My way of giving back to the quilting community and sharing great content with you at the same time!}

It’s finally here!  The first Sunday of April and my monthly edition of Sew Thankful Sunday.  Thanks for all of your support with the new format.  I didn’t realize how popular my weekly posts were, but it’s a tough schedule to keep up with.  I hope this monthly version will make it even more noteworthy for you.

1.  Perfect for this month is a little applique project from Lea Anne at Podunk Pretties called April Showers.  She’s got the free templates and pattern on her blog to share with you.  How nice!

  2. Thanks so much for helping to spread the word, Julie! It’s funny, I’ve been trying to view this post from my phone all week but I kept getting a single smiley face on the mobile view — that pretty much sums it up, but it’s also nice to see the actual text and images for once :o)

  3. Julie – I miss your more frequent posts and I certainly understand your need to reclaim part of your life. You have included some of my favorites and introduced me to some new ones. Thanks to Jan and her incredible Patchwork of the Crosses, I bought the book about six weeks ago and that’s it. I do not EPP, however, I’m hoping to do traditionally piecing sometime. You know that bucket list. I was fortunate enough to get two fat quarters of the fabric Missouri Mel used for her table runner. She said it is heavenly and it is. It is so delicate (without being fragile) and soft. I just sat and caressed it. I have to write her a personal ty. There are some absolutely amazing creations. The bar is constantly being raised. Thank you for your post. Oh, yeah! I have two more things I like about April. My son was born on April and then my daughter had her first son on my son’s birthday! Surprise! I love that they share a wonderful day. Uncle Eric always calls his nephew and now that he is 8, he laughs and laughs. Have a hoppy April.
