New classroom at TQS and more news

I’m really excited to share my latest quilting adventure with you guys.  I have a new classroom at The Quilt Show and it’s all about “Tips, Tricks & Techniques”.  I’ll be sharing just that, once a week starting TODAY, June 1st!

Tips, Tricks & Techniques with Julie Cefalu at The Quilt Show

Each week you’ll find a new video that is approximately 3 to 7 minutes long.  I’ll be giving you tips to make your piecing more accurate, tricks to make your quilting more organized and techniques to enhance your overall quilting experience.

All of the video taping was done in the comfort of my favorite quilt shop, The Granary, in Sunnyvale, CA.  I had a fabulous “director”, Mary Kay Davis, guiding me along and working the camera.  You can see how sophisticated it all is below (insert wink):

The great thing about this new adventure is that it’s free for everyone.  Many parts of the TQS website are for Star Members only, but there are some classrooms that are open for everyone.  If you decide to give the membership a try, you won’t be disappointed.  It gives you full access to some amazing classes, shows and patterns, including their yearly block-of-the-month.  (This is my own opinion and I’m not receiving any fees or compensation to promote TQS.)

The other project I’m working on is the Cozy Afternoon BOM that starts on June 15 at Jacquelynne Steves, the Art of Home.  This is a five-month long program and it’s FREE!

I’ll be one of the featured bloggers each month, and I’ll show you my block(s) and the fabric I’m using.  Of course, I can’t stand to wait that long, so here’s a little peak at my fabric pull:

And here’s a look at the applique centers of my first two blocks as they sit on my design wall:

I’ll give you the full reveal on June 15.  I hope you sign up for this Cozy Afternoon BOM and join me each month!  You’ll have a cozy quilt to snuggle under when the weather turns cold.

I’m working on lots of other projects in my sewing room that are still in the design phase.  Plus something new for next year that I’ll be revealing towards the end of the year.  I know, such a tease!

Have a wonderful week!

Julie

I do not have fabric yet as I’m not sure what is needed at this time. One more thing, I have My Spring Petals Table Topper about complete. I need to complete and email a photo this week. Thank you!!

  13. I was curious if the tea cup and teapot pattern you feature on this post were available somewhere. They are so cute. Thanks for your inspiration.
