Sew Thankful Sunday, November 2018

I highlight some great content that I’ve found on other people’s blogs that I hope will inspire you and reward the originator by bringing traffic to their site. Eeek!  It’s November already!  This can be a busy time of the year for us as creatives.  You’ll find tons of inspiration and ideas for Fall and the holidays as you read today’s Sew Thankful list.  Enjoy!

1.  If you’re still looking for Autumn inspiration and sewing ideas, check out Jacquelynne Steves’ 24 More! Free Projects to Sew for Fall.  You’ll find every project from small to large and in between here.

2.  This sweet Autumn Star Tutorial from Lea Anne at Podunk Pretties is just right for November sewing.  Make several for a beautiful Fall table runner or placemats.  Change the colors and you’ll be able to decorate for any holiday!

 

3.  Andy at A Bright Corner has a lovely Diamond Patchwork Quilt Tutorial that is just right for using up fat quarters.  The piecing is very simple and the result is quite lovely!

 

4.  By now you’ve probably heard of the wool ironing mats that have become so popular.  Check out Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilt’s review of them and you’ll see what makes them so special.

 

5.  It’s time to start transitioning to Christmas, and you’ll get lots of ideas from Krista at The Happy Housie with their 22 Fabulously Festive DIY Holiday Wreath Ideas.  Your front door and porch will look fabulous with one of these wreaths hanging on it.

 

6.  I love repurposing old things, and you’ll love using old jeans for these Denim DIY Christmas Trees by Claire at Pillar Box Blue.  This is something your kids can help with and learn a lesson in upcycling, too!

 

7.  Here’s a great roundup of 20 Free Christmas Quilting Patterns and Tutorials at Craft Gossip.  There’s still time to make one of these projects – I even see one of my tutorials in there!

 

8.  It’s still pumpkin time and I love these Healthy Pumpkin Muffins from Two Peas and Their Pod.  I have made them about five times already, and they are so good!  My little secret is to add chocolate chips and pecans to the mix for extra yumminess.
