WIP Wednesday 11-7-2012
I’ve been wanting to participate in W.i.P. Wednesday at Freshly Pieced for a long time. You can see what everyone else has been up to here.
Here’s what I’ve been working on this past week:
This is going to be a “design wall quilt” for my sewing room. It has a large flannel piece in the middle and a cute border to surround it. I can “stick” my current projects to the flannel and voila! A design wall!
I just quilted some grid lines in the center (you can still see some of the purple air-soluble pen lines) and now I need to decide if I want to add more lines or not. I’m thinking “no”. I’ll give more details when it’s finished.
I’ve also been working with these fabrics from Moda’s new line, Everlasting, by Sandy Gervais.
These will be used in The Granary’s 2013 Block-of-the-Month. I have lots of catching up to do!
And I have ONE completed project!
Isn’t this pumpkin pincushion adorable? I bought a kit at PIQF last year and finally got it finished. The pattern is from Fig Tree and you can find it here.
And even though this isn’t technically work, I finally picked some hydrangea blossoms from my garden that have that perfect fall look to them:
Don’t you love those colors? I’m so glad I let them age on the plant this long. They started out as a vibrant pink/plum color similar to the flower in the top middle. My laziness finally paid off!
I hope you’re all having a good week!
