Time to shift holidays!

I’ve just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving trip to Portland and it had all the classic Fall feels of the season. We had beautiful weather, great company and we scored on our Airbnb. The only thing missing was our oldest daughter and her family in Texas. But we’ll see them at Christmas which will be here before you know it!

I don’t know about you, but I hate to let go of Thanksgiving and Fall, but I love to decorate for Christmas and winter. I’m all about the peppermint mocha, Christmas movies, and holiday tunes. I also try to squeeze in some gift-making (which I always procrastinate about and put off to the last minute).

I love everything about the holidays especially the peppermint mochas and Christmas movies.

One thing on my list to make is a blue and white version of my Nordic Star Table Runner. This has been one of my most popular holiday tutorials. I’ve also just updated the Gnome Mug Rug tutorial which is a quick project that is great for gifting.

You can find ALL of my Christmas tutorials here. There are over two dozen to choose from!

Don’t forget that there’s still one day left to purchase a Bountiful Bundle for just $19.99. These ten patterns have been carefully selected to offer a variety of designs that are perfect for confident beginners and versatile enough to engage quilters of all skill levels. This offer ends at midnight (ET), Monday, November 27, 2023.

I appreciate you reading and supporting my blog! I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

  1. Julie,
Your description of moving from fall to Christmas is so me! I love fall but the first thing I said to my daughter the morning after Thanksgiving as we were making breakfast is, “turn on
the Christmas music!” I’m also making nine wool felt Christmas ornaments for the girls in the family which, of course, I waited until just before Thanksgiving to start. It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and will get to see the grandkids for Christmas. Enjoy, enjoy!

  2. Hi Julie,
Thanks for great deal on Bountiful Bundle of patterns! I purchased the bundle, terrific price. I haven’t had a spare minute since Thanksgiving was here at my house with kids, grandkids and three of six great grandkids with newest one delivering by c-section 12/20; talk about a Christmas baby! Everyone headed home today and I’m exhausted. Looking forward to printing the patterns tomorrow, brewing a big pot of tea and reviewing all of them.
Thanks again to all of you talented artists for this wonderful package.
    Blessings, Dawn

  3. I always enjoy your tips and patterns.
I wanted to let you know that the bird quilt that I was making for the Hoffman challenge will be in the road to California quilt show. If you go, check it out. We will be in California at Christmas and most of January so we are planning to go to see it.
