A little housekeeping

Happy summer! I hope yours is going well. Today, I have a few housekeeping items to share with regards to The Crafty Quilter.

I will be taking the rest of July off from blogging. My calendar for July had filled up with so much activity that I was getting stressed out from overload. I think this is the first time I’ve taken an actual break since I started The Crafty Quilter in 2012!

This will also give me some time to work on new content for you and to catch my breath. I’m always more excited about “work” when I’m fresh and energized. I’m sure you can relate.

If you subscribe to my blog through an RSS feed or email, you’ll notice that you need to click on “read more” to get the full blog post. I know this is inconvenient, but it’s necessary for me to remain in compliance with some affiliate guidelines. I hope you’ll find it’s worth it!

Fun stuff

I made these watermelon margaritas last week and they were really refreshing. It’s also a nice way to use up a watermelon that isn’t great.

I’ve been working on my 2023 Scrap Project. I’m finally getting to sew my blocks together!

Our youngest daughter turned 30 this week. We took her out to lunch and had champagne! It was such a beautiful day for a beautiful person.

That’s all for now. We are loading up the car this morning for a short vacation to Lake Shasta. It will be hot, but the lake will keep us cool. I hope you have a great rest of July!
