Sew Thankful Sunday 12-2-2012

Welcome to Sew Thankful Sunday!  This is my chance to spread the word of quilty goodness out there and share some things in my own life that I am thankful for.

I just discovered a new online block of the month program that will be starting in January 2013, and I have already signed up (because I can’t resist a good BOM)!

Amy Gibson of Stitchery Dickory Dock is presenting this BOM and to sweeten the deal, she’s including a sweet recipe with each month’s block.  You’ll love her blog, and you can find all of the details for The Sugar Block Club here.  Let me know if you join, and we can be BOM Buddies!

And I’m sew thankful for some beautiful fabric that showed up on my doorstep.  Last week I featured some online shops that were having holiday deals and of course I took advantage of some!

I have been drooling over Moda’s “Marmalade” by Bonnie & Camille, so I purchased a fat quarter bundle from Pink Castle Fabrics:

Aren’t they pretty!  They came in two packages – #1:

and package #2:

And if that wasn’t enough already, I purchased a fat quarter bundle of “Flutter” by The Quilted Fish for Riley Blake from The Intrepid Thread:

Here is one of the feature fabrics from that line:

And I found a short bundle that caught my eye – “Avignon” by Emily Taylor Design for Riley Blake:

Apparently I needed some more color in my life and I ordered two charm packs of Moda’s “Simply Color” by V and Co.

Here’s a peek at what’s inside:

O.k. I’ll stop now.  That’s more than enough color for one day!  Do I have plans for all of this fabric?  Well, for now it is brightening up my shelves and doing a very good job of it!

And has anyone NOT discovered Trader Joe’s Peppermint Joe Joe’s?

They only come out during the holidays, and last year, Trader Joe’s ran out of them well before I was ready!  So I stocked up on them (just in case).

It’s a windy and rainy Sunday here in the Bay Area – perfect for sewing, baking, building a fire, and catching up on my favorite blogs (wink, wink)!  Thanks for joining me!
