December is whizzing by so fast; I find myself making lists and jotting down notes left and right to stay organized. If you need help keeping your quilting and home life organized, you’ll want to keep reading (there’s a discount code to my favorite planner)! I’m also updating you on my progress for the Simply Stars Quilt Along.

The Quilter’s Planner

We all love a discount, so I’m happy to tell you that I’ve been able to extend the discount code for The Quilter’s Planner until December 20, 2022 (end of the day). Use the code craftyquilter to get 10% of your 2023 Quilter’s Planner. This is my favorite planner for all things quilting and home life!

It’s not too late to get organized for 2023 and The Quilter’s Planner can help you do it! Plus, it’s loaded with extras that every quilter will love. This planner is customizable – you can choose the cover design, which day the weeks starts on and choose a weekly calendar design that works best for you. It also includes project planning pages, a monthly habit tracking page, a quilter’s reference section, and a total of eight patterns. Plus, it’s gorgeous!

The Quilter's Planner has four different layouts to choose from.

Simply Stars QAL

This is the third installment of the Simply Stars Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. You can find all of the details at their blog, The Jolly Jabber. This week we’re making Reflection Blocks from the book Simply Half Yards (you’ll need this book for the block instructions).

There are eight of these blocks, and they were really easy to make. They measure 10 1/2″ square and are so cute!

This QAL is easy enough for a confident beginner to do. The final quilt is really going to be stunning!

I’m using half yards of fabric from the Nutmeg Collection by Basic Grey for Moda Fabrics. It’s a gorgeous array of warm and spicy prints that look amazing together. I’m using a dark background of Moda Grunge fabric in the color, Marion Berry Pie. My photos don’t show the color very well (it’s not as bright and navy blue as shown here).

Joining the quilt along are some fellow quilters who will be sharing their version of each block along the way. You can follow them for more tips and inspiration!

Make sure to share your progress with the hashtag #SimplyStarsQAL so we can see your work!
