TGIF & Craftsy Sale

TGIF everybody!  I hope you have had a taste of Spring this week in your neck of the woods.  We have been having typical Spring weather in Northern California, 70’s one day and rain the next.  I love it all, especially the colors and the blossom scented air!

I wanted to let you all know about a great sale going on at Craftsy.  If you have been wanting to take a quilting class or other craft class, now is a great time!

Starting April 5th through April 8th, a different set of Craftsy classes will be on sale each day, up to 75% off their normal price. Don’t see the class you want on sale? Check back tomorrow – a fresh pick of courses will be on sale!

Online Quilting Classes

I have taken three classes from Craftsy and they have all been excellent.  The videos and program material are well done and there are forums to answer any questions you might have.  If you haven’t tried one of their classes, now would be a great time to take advantage of Spring savings!

Have a great weekend!

    1. Yes! I have taken Beyond Basic Machine Quilting which had some great tips and techniques for free motion quilting, straight line quilting and basting your quilt. I am in the middle of Hand Quilting: Heirloom Design & Technique – I’m learning lots here because hand quilting is new to me! And recently I took Precut Piecing Made Simple which is good for beginning quilters. I took it because I’m using Camille Roskelly’s pattern, “Swoon”, for my advanced beginning class and I thought there might be something new that would be helpful in my teaching. (But I already knew most of what she had to show us.)

And I just signed up for Design It, Quilt It: Free Form Techniques. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet, but I’m excited to learn!
