{I am frequently visiting other blogs and I’m always amazed at the talent and passion that I see along the way.  Since I love sharing these new “finds” with you, I created Sew Thankful Sunday.  My way of giving back to the quilting community and sharing great content with you at the same time!}

Happy May everyone!  I love this month for so many reasons.  To name a few, the weather is beautiful (for most of us), the flowers are blooming and we get to celebrate our mothers.  With that in mind, I have some awesome blogs to share with you that I’m sew thankful for!

 2.  I love this Zippered Pencil Case Tutorial by Sarah at FairyFace Designs.  This could made a great pouch for a rotary cutter, too!

3.  I like aprons for just about any kind of housework, and this Everyday Apron would be a great one to stitch up.  Heidi from Fabric Mutt is sharing her tutorial on the Birch Fabrics blog.

4.  While you’re visiting Heidi at Fabric Mutt, check out her latest tutorial for this Key Pouch.  You’ll need to make two; one to keep and one to gift!

5.  Tote bags are always handy to have around and you can make your own with this Flying Geese Tote Bag Tutorial by Caroline from Sew Can She.  It looks perfect for a day at the beach!

6.  How about a little Spring Fling with Jenny at Sew Kind of Wonderful?  I adore their patterns using their Quick Curve ruler and this is a free tutorial that is just adorable!

7.  If you have been waiting for a good excuse to start a Farmer’s Wife Quilt, now you have one.  Karen at Laugh Yourself into Stitches is starting Class 5 of the Farmer’s Wife Quilt Revival series.  Each class offers cutting and piecing instructions for roughly 10 Farmer’s Wife blocks each month using modern quilting methods.

8.  Recently, Amy Smart at Diary of a Quilter had a Quilt Tips Blog Tour.  She is promoting her new book, Fabulously Fast Quilts, and sharing some great tips along the way!  You can find links to all of the tour participants at her blog, Diary of a Quilter.

10.  There’s a Flower Favorites Blog Hop going on at the Benartex blog, Sew In Love {with Fabric} and you’ll love the projects so far!  It feels like Spring!

11.  For those of you in fear of applique, check out the new video tutorials by Jill Finley of Jillily Studio for the Fat Quarter Shop.  There are 12 videos total and you will learn everything you need to know about applique!

12.  Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts has started a Machine Quilting 101 Series that will have tons of tips and information for the beginner and for the experienced quilter, too.  I’m always learning something new!

13.  When I saw this post about Quilt Storage and Display Ideas by Lindsey at Fort Worth Fabric Studios, I sighed wistfully.  I have since added a few things to my creative wish list.

I so enjoy looking thought all the blogs you post and usually find something that I just have to make.
