A Few Updates
I feel like I have been a little absent from the blogging community this summer, so I’d like to give you a few updates. I’m busy getting ready for the next set of videos for The Quilt Show’s BOM for 2014. I have really enjoyed making this alphabet sampler, but I’ll be glad when the “pressure” is off. I can’t wait to show you my finished quilt!
Mr. Crafty Quilter has been keeping me busy with fun things to do, but also, recently, with (his) rotator cuff surgery. He’s an active guy so I’m trying to keep him out of trouble and on the road to recovery! Plus we’re celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this month, and we have all four of our children going on a 6-day camping trip with us in the Sierra mountains. I have to confess that camping for me is really more like staying in a rustic cabin with running water and a stove! We leave on Sunday, and I’ll share pictures when I get back.
I also wanted to let you know about a few sales going on this weekend. First of all, don’t miss Craftsy‘s Dog Days of Summer Sale happening now! Enjoy up to 50% off ALL online classes! I’ve seen quite a few NEW quilting classes recently that I would love to try. Take advantage of big savings today. This offer expires August 11, 2014 at 11:59 PM MT.
Also starting this weekend, the Fat Quarter Shop is offering 20% OFF ALL RILEY BLAKE FABRICS with coupon code: RILEY. This sale starts Friday, August 8 and continues until Thursday August 14th at 11:59 PM CST.
If you have wanted to make a t-shirt quilt, now is your chance! My friend Diane Gilleland is teaching a free online class on CreativeLive about how to turn your old t-shirts into a fantastic keepsake. You should join her! For more information, check out: http://cr8.lv/UQMrUA.
And, I wanted to let you know about a special offer from The Quilt Pattern Magazine. They are inviting all email newsletter subscribers to join them for their In The Beginning BOM. No subscription is necessary; the pattern is free. You can sign up here: http://www.quiltpatternmagazine.com/SignUp.html
There are lots of great things happening this month online for the quilting community. I hope you get a chance to take advantage of some of them!
I’ll be back in a few weeks with some pictures from our vacation and hopefully some quilt projects!
