Disappearing 9-patch QAL, week 5 link up
Welcome to the Disappearing 9-patch QAL, Week 5! This is the link up post for those of you that have been quilting along with me. You can find all of the instructions and details here, if you want to join the fun. The link-up will be open for one week, so if you’re quick, you still have time!
I’m really excited to see everyone’s disappearing 9-patch quilt! I’ve seen a few on social media (hashtag #disappearing9patchqal) and I’ve heard from many of you in the comments that you’ve had fun with this quilt along. That makes me super happy!
It was a short week for me as we got on a plane for Austin on Thursday morning, so I didn’t finish my red, white and blue disappearing 9-patch. I just need to put borders on it. However, my rainbow version is finished and all set for quilting.
I promised a blog post on how to audition quilting ideas on a quilt, but I ran out of time this week. It’s still in the making, so thanks for being patient.

Great QAL, Julie, Thank you for putting it all together. There are a lot of pretty pictures ! Not too many link up to blogs, though! Still, it’s been fun clicking through them. I just wish I could leave a comment for each one. They are all great!
I had fun making this quilt. I used my scrap so that was great getting some of them used up. I have it quilted now just waiting for the fabric to show up for the binding. Thank you for doing this quilt along. Like seeing everyone quilts.
Thanks for another sew along! I have always enjoyed sewing your projects and fabrics used and made several things from your patterns/projects!!
Julie,
Tried to go to the link up page but couldn’t make it work for me. Also tried to email my photo but I don’t think it worked either. I am using the email address thecraftyquilter.com. Is this the correct address?
Thanks,
Linda Brennan
Loved this so much Julie. Thank you for showing this to us.
Julie, your Rainbow version is really beautiful and very sweet.
This was so much fun! I finished a twin size for my nephew’s birthday, and now I’m making a blue and white one for my bed. Thanks so much for this great QAL!
