Top Posts of 2024
As we get closer to the end of this year, I thought it would be fun to look back at my top posts of 2024. To be honest, Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs is my motivator for this blog post. She is hosting her annual Best of 2024 Linky Party, and I love seeing what other bloggers have been up to.
Top posts of 2024
There are many routes to choosing your “best of”. It’s almost like choosing a favorite child; no, more like choosing a favorite cookie. Oh, the dilemma! Strictly for convenience (and so I don’t hurt any feelings), I’ve chosen my “best of” by looking at the five top-viewed posts from the year. I don’t think this is how I would have ranked them myself, but the viewers have spoken! We’ll start with number five and work to the most viewed blog post.

5. Fall Inspiration with Quilts and More
This one surprised me, even though I’m quite happy about it since I love Fall so much. In this blog post, you’ll see what Fall decorating looks like around my house. There are links to several of my favorite Fall projects. When the time comes, you’ll definitely be inspired!
4. Vintage Heart Quilt Block Pattern
This is such a sweet quilt block; it definitely has those vintage vibes! I used a charm pack and mini charm pack to make four blocks. There is a free pattern for the quilt block than you can download here. If you want to see the cutest table runner made from my four blocks, check it out here.
3. How to make flanged quilt binding
This is one of my favorite ways to make flanged quilt binding. And it’s SO easy! There are lots of photos in this tutorial AND I’ve included downloadable instructions, too. You can’t go wrong with this technique!
2. Scrappy quilt pattern and tutorial
I love scrap quilts and while I was making a block-of-the-month quilt, I came up with this idea. I used many of the scraps from the BOM quilt to make a bonus quilt. The instructions are for a lap-size quilt, but you can keep going and make it as big as you want!
1. The making of a sea glass quilt
I’m not surprised that my top post for 2024 is the making of a sea glass quilt. This is such a fun technique, and I was totally inspired by another artist for this one. The blog post has all of the details and an informal “how to” on my process.
I appreciate all of the views, comments, saves and likes that you bestow upon my creative space. It always fills my cup! Thanks to Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs for providing a place for us to share our Best of 2024! Make sure to check out all of the others, too!

Julie, you are an inspiration to us quilters. I have reached the plateau of quilting, and I cannot quilt any more. My age and my back have made this happen. I hope you don’t mind my receiving your emails because I enjoy your creations.
Julie, LOVE ALL OF YOUR POSTS!!!
Inspirational for certain. I can be in a questionable mood and here comes The Crafty Quilter to save the day. My recent carpal tunnel surgeries set me back for a while but your continuing blogs gave me offerings of new adventures once I healed. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to bountiful blogs 2025! Happy and Safe New Year!
