Sew Thankful Sunday, September 2016

{I love the idea of “paying it forward”. I think the world would be a better place if we could spread some joy and acknowledgement of good deeds done by others. I try to do that once a month for my Sew Thankful Sunday posts. I highlight some great content that I’ve found on other people’s blogs that I hope will inspire you and reward the originator by bringing traffic to their site. If your blog has been mentioned without your consent, please let me know and I will take you off the current list of featured bloggers.}

Sew Thankful Sunday @ The Crafty Quilter

September is one of my favorite months.  The seasons are changing and it’s a good time to get organized and start a new project.  You’ll find some great inspiration in this month’s list of  sew thankful ideas.

  1.  Now is the perfect time to make this Crafty Book & Binder Cover from Monica at It’s Just Sewing.  Send your kids to school in style (or yourself)!

2.  I love this Full Bloom Mini by Bridgette at The Family Hearth.  It would make a great scrap project and you could finish it in a weekend!

5.  Get ready for fall and use up your scraps with this Scrappy Fall Place Mat Tutorial from Sherri at A Quilting Life.  I love everything about this one!

6.   I was so glad to see this Multi-size Sawtooth Star Quilt Block Tutorial using one of my favorite methods for making flying geese units from Amy at Diary of a Quilter.  She also includes a free printable chart for the sawtooth stars and flying geese units.  So handy!

7.  It’s the perfect time to stitch this Back To School Pencil Case by Chris at Made by ChrissieD.  She’s participating in the Back to School Blog Hop at Sew in Love {with fabric}.  I love the extra zipper pocket in this project!

  1. I love your Sew Thankful Sunday posts, and there are several things this month that I am definitely interested in making! Thanks for sharing these! I haven’t been able to read my blogs this month due to health problems combined with construction on my house and everything involved with that! I’ve been wanting to find the exact things you posted, and no matter what, your blog is the one I try to make time to read every week and catch up on. Jadahlgr at Yahoo dot Com

  3. Lots of back to school projects. Very fun! I have to say after being out of the schooling system for several years, I don’t miss the rush : ) My 6 have all grown.

I love hearing from you! Thanks for leaving a comment!
