Looking back – the Best of 2022
One advantage to having a quilting blog, is the ability to track your activities over a period of time. It’s nice to keep tabs on progress and see what I’ve accomplished (or not)! To help with this, I’m joining The Best of 2022 Linky Party at Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl has hosted this blog party for the past eight years, and it’s a great way to connect with new bloggers and revisit old friends.
There are no hard and fast rules for this blog party in terms of your definition of “best”. I chose five blog posts from 2022 in the following categories: favorite finish, favorite tutorial, favorite tip/technique, most visited, and most comments. Let’s see how I did!
Favorite Finish
I started the year off with a new pattern, Arrow Stone, and it turns out to be my favorite finish of 2022. This modern quilt pattern is available in pdf format at my Etsy shop.
Favorite Tutorial
This category was a tough choice, but I love my Vinca Quilt Block Tutorial for it’s simplicity and versatility. I’m still planning on making this into a full pattern this year.
Favorite Tip/Technique
I gave some great tips for the Stitch & Flip Method Using Specialty Rulers. This is also a product review since I used three different rulers for this technique. Great information to bookmark or pin for later!
Most Visited Blog Post
When I looked at my top posts for 2022 based on page views, my Best Tips for All-Machine Binding blog post came in first. Even though this was published in 2018, it is still very relevant for today!
Most Comments
I had a complete blog renovation last summer, and my Fresh & Updated Website blog post received so many nice comments! Many of you read my blog posts in an email, so you don’t get the full website design format. There’s more to discover there plus, I just updated my “About” page, too!
